Education
It was the first institution of Anne de Xainctonge the foundress of the Society of St. Ursula – France to educate girls, especially the poor to help them find in Society and in the Church their place as free and responsible women. Today schools managed by the Society of St. Ursula in India pursue this mission by providing a solid training which aims at an all-round development of each person. And so, faithful to the Charism of the Society of St. Ursula; with the grace we have received and the means we have, we share in the Church's education mission. The Society of St. Ursula India has established 8 full-fledged Schools in Pune, Karnataka and Gujarat and 2 Higher Secondary Schools in Pune. Our Sisters also work with schools in collaboration in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Kerala.
