"Whatsover you do to the least of my people that you do unto me" Mt. 25/40In our broken, wounded world, we are called to live as a healing presence. We are called to bring about a world where all live in harmony, where no one is in want. In short we are called to live as Jesus lived, with care and compassion for all.
"Even the weakest and most vulnerable, the sick, the old, the unborn and the poor are MASTERPIECES OF GOD’S CREATION, made in His own image and likeness., destined to live forever, and deserving of the utmost reverence, love and respect. In a frail human being each one of us is invited to recognize the face of the Lord." - Pope Francis
Because human life is a precious gift of God, we use medical intervention to preserve it. Everyone is called to be a healer. Health awareness especially in villages is a very important factor that we need to take into account. Hence our sisters who work in the medical field go to remote villages with a mobile clinic to bring health and wholeness to the sick and suffering. They take care of the sick in Akola in Maharashtra, Vyara in Gujarat and Pakertoli in Jharkhand. In the ‘Year of Mercy’ our sisters held medical camps in these areas with the help of doctors. These camps were very much appreciated and beneficial to all those who availed themselves of this opportunity.
"There is no human life more sacred than another, just as there is no human life qualitatively more significant than another. The credibility of a health system is not measured solely by efficiency, but above all by the attention and love given to the person, whose life is always sacred and inviolable." - Pope Francis
